Angular unconformity between the Scaglia Bianca and Scaglia Rossa formations (marine rocks dating back to the Lower-Upper Cretaceous) and the continental rock of fluvial origin of the Pontegana Conglomerate, dating back to the Messinian. This discontinuity represents a fossil erosion surface, a gap in time, which separates the two episodes of rock sedimentation with a time interval of about 100 million years.
