Description
This 3D model has an areale extent of 20x 17 m and shows Lower Liassic tidal flat limestone and dolomite beds at Lavini di Marco (Rovereto, Italy) preserve a wealth of early dinosaurs tracks and traces, exceptionally preserved despite the Alpine tectonics and Plio-Quaternary glacial erosion.
In the model, there are sauropod tracks. Sauropods were quadruped dinosaurs.
Tracks are irregular. The track of the foot is superimposed on the one of the hand. Tracks are not well preserved and fingers are not easily identifiable (from 1 up to 4). The boundary of each tracks shows the extrusion rim of mud, typical of the sauropod footprints.
